The largest state for the country of Mexico is Chihuahua and its capital is also called as Chihuahua. Around 13 percent of Mexico has been covered by the city of Chihuahua. The city of Chihuahua has been flourishing well in last couple of years and has successfully mixed its latest growth with the historical touch that the city has. Presence of various water bodies around the city has also played a major role in the growth of Chihuahua.

The presence of mountain ranges all around the city of Chihuahua makes it hard for rainfall to enter the city. This is what results into dry as well as hot climate round the year. It is the winter season when the mercury falls a bit thus easing the surroundings. You must decide your trip accordingly. The annual average highest temperature is around 25 degree Celsius while the annual average lowest temperature is around 12 degree Celsius. The highest temperature ever recorded for the city of Chihuahua was around 40 degree Celsius between the period of 1971 and 2000. The lowest temperature ever recorded was around -10 degree Celsius which was during the year 1978. The month of July in the year 1973 is said to be the wettest month as the city experience around 240 mm of rainfall that month. Snowfall is rare in the city of Chihuahua.

Population of Chihuahua City is around 750000 inhabitants as per the census of year 2005. Recently another survey (completed in the year 2007) proved that the population of Chihuahua was well above 800000 inhabitants. More then 50 percent of the local population is white, around 40 percent are Mestizos, around 4 percent are Ameridian, and the rest 3 percent contribute to other cultures. One must note that the city of Chihuahua has sufficient amount of locals who have migrated from US into this city.

The road transport in the city of Chihuahua isn’t considered suitable for foreign tourists due to heavy disorganization in this form of transport. Work is going on for construction of new roads which have been planned in a manner that the traffic system of the city could be controlled. The city of Chihuahua has its own international airport and also its own railroad system.
