Kingston Nightlife, Jamaica
Kingston, Jamaica - Nightlife
Jamaica - the LAND OF REGGAE, RASTAFARIAN’S and CALYPSO has something to offer everyone. If you visit Kingston - the Mecca of music, you cannot do without swaying to the enchanting rhythmic beats of Reggae and calypso.
In fact, Jamaica gave us the legendary crooner Bob Marley and there is an entire museum dedicated to the world renowned artist in Kingston. Music runs in the veins of all Jamaicans and it is therefore not surprising that a number of rocking nightclubs and discotheques, bars and pubs, sports bar as well as casinos dot the capital city of Kingston.
The night life of cosmopolitan Kingston is pivoted round KINGSTON STRIP on the KNUTSFORD BOULEVARD. Lose yourself in the rhythm divine, let your hair down, and party the night away on the dance floors of ASYLUM - the wild stop for retro music from the seventies and eighties, reggae, calypso, disco, pop, funk, trance, lounge, club, dancehall etc.
If you are in the mood for some jazz or soulful Latin music, your destination should be CARLOS CAFÉ or the GROGGE SHOPPE or the JONKANOO LOUNGE housed inside HILTON HOTEL. You can contact the front desk of your hotel to get the party spot/night life map of the city and the necessary arrangements will be made by them.
Party hoppers and party animals all over the world hit the party town of Kingston to soak in the music, groove to the reggae and happening peppy numbers and Kingston is supposed to be the party capital of the world. Nightlife is second to none and will beat Ibizza, the other happening party zone nestled in the Mediterranean Sea, hollow.
Diversity is the other name for Kingston’s nightlife and the party-holics will be spoilt for choice when they have to select from fine dining, luxury cruises, and a rocking nightlife humming with life. Elvis Presley look-alikes, fire-eating sprees, traditional dancers and cabaret dancers hold a lot of fascination for visitors.
Nightlife excursions are very popular in Kingston. It consists of a boat ride on the sea or on the river at the beginning, followed up by rounds of drinking in an open bar accompanied by a supper based on a true Jamaican cuisine. The night excursion ends with partying along with native floorshows by limbo dancers and live reggae bands belting out Jamaican hits. It leaves the visitors spellbound.
