Lanzhou is one of China's beautiful cities. The city boasts its beautiful and captivating sights, from historical to natural sights. The city has lots to offer for it is full of superbly sights.
The sights are just within Lanzhou. One of the beautiful sights in Lanzhou is the Baiyun Taoist Temple constructed in 1837 during the Qing Dynasty to honor the famous immortal Lu Dongbin. The temple is very attracting and amazing for it is well-built and has exceptional design. One of it is the archway on the entrance that has four Chinese characters “Sheng Yun De Lu,” which means “the road to obtaining promotion to the clouds.” the statue of Lu and the Jade emperor are one of the amazing pieces in the temple.
The temple is open for the public from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm everyday with no entrance fee. The Five Springs Mountain Park in Gaolan Hill is one perfect tourist attraction for it also has well-known beautiful religious spot, Butterfly Pavilion, Golden Buddha Temple, Mahayira Hall, Wenchang Temple, Wanyuan Pavilion, Thousand Buddha Temple and many more. The park is one of the historical sights in the city and the five springs were named Ganlu, Mozi, Juyue, Hui, and Meng.
The Gunsu Provincial Museum is the best place to know the local history. The museum is displayed with different pieces like, magnificent Buddhist sculptures, remnants from the Silk Road and Great Wall, simple and great wood carvings during Han Dynasty, and tinted pottery portraying flowers.
The White Pagoda is one of the pleasing and well-preserved sights in the city with teahouses, plant nursery, pavilions, and small boardwalks. The famous temple is now the home of the Buddhist. The place also has some temple buildings that are known for their distinctive design and excellent layout. The Bingling Si is one of the eye-catching sights in the city that lies upstream in the Yellow River. This sight is one of the relevant Buddhist cave from the 5th century and also one of the extraordinary tourist attractions in Gunsu.
The Zhongshan Bridge is the first bridge built over the Yellow River. The bridge was constructed in 1907 and finished in 1909. You can see also the two sights along the Yellow River, which are The Mother Yellow River and the Waterwheel Garden, the place where you will be enthralled.
