Lanzhou Nightlife, China

 Even though Lanzhou is far away from the many coastal cities of China, but the nightlife found here can clearly rival those beach cities.  There are many cinemas, nightclubs, bars, and street venders available here and it all adds up to a great nightlife experience.

There are many street vendor stalls where you can find the barbeque and the soft, delicious beef noodles that are so popular here.  After you have finished your meal, check out some of the local bars for a glass of wine.  Gannan Lu is a street that has many bars located very close to each other and is a great way to start your evening.

The Baroque Xinzhen Bar is beautifully decorated and is the most discriminating in its clientele.  If you are looking for a first class, premier bar to impress someone with, this will surely be the right choice.

The Huochai Tiantang Bar features guitar music and later moves on to heavy metal.  You’ll find yourself drawn to the openness of the staff, who treat you as though they’ve known you forever.

For the sports fanatic, try the Shi Er Ma Bar.  The theme of this place is football and is the most upscale sports bar in the area.  This bar also offers a pretty good menu of traditional bar foods.

If you’re looking for disco, you’ll find it in this city.  The Jiaodian Club is located in the Qilihe District and is one of the largest and most luxurious clubs in the city.  Dress is very upscale and jeans are not allowed.
