by It is a fabulous volcanic island with an antique minoan city. Some people think Santorini is the home of the lost city of Atlantis...
The quite landscape and the people make the place a real paradise, I think. I have been there in May and t wasn't crowded, what is again a huge plus. There is nothing but the wild nature outside the small towns.
One thing yu shouldn't miss is renting a donkey and taking a ride in the town, not very comfortable, but a lot of fun. :)

Thira, also well known by the name of Thera or Santorini, is a small group of volcanic islands situated in south eastern section of Aegean Sea. These are around 200 meters away from the mainland of Greece. The area covered by these islands is around 73 kilometer square. In reality Thira is the remains of a huge volcanic eruption that took place many decades ago.
