After we visited Antelope Canyon at noon, we ate something at this Mexcian place, which was really nice. Strange how we simply cannot get this sort of Mexican food back in Europe. Anyhow, I really like the place, and the Coronas that came with the meals :)
by After lunch, we headed down to Wahweap Marina, a tourist hangout which is still quiet at this time. Lake Powell may as well be my favorite lake. It's located in the middle of the desert, and surrounded by canyons. It's really a piece of the Grand Canyon, just that here at Lake Powell, they blocked the Colorado River, by building a huge power plant.
The result is very beautiful, as it's just a surreal rugged landscape and then the dark blue lake in between, absolutely gorgeous! We found a nice spot to hang out at by the lake. The guard actually told us that this was the place where he'd usually send the European girls for topless sun bathing. But since there were no tourists at all, it was really only us drinking a few beers and enjoying the scenary.
I actually ended up hopping into the super cold water, what a rush, it sure woke me up good :)
We ended the night with a nice little poker game at the hotel, eating snacks and, who would have guessed it,..., drinking beers.
