Jackson Hole Nightlife, Wyoming
Located in the immediate vicinity of the Grand Teton National Park, Jackson Hole is a deep valley, home to one of the finest mountain resorts in America. The number of outdoor sports and activities that can be practiced here is almost infinite: from the steepest slopes to the fanciest golf courses, Jackson Hole offers them all, not to mention the imaginably beautiful scenery. It’s hard to imagine that people would pay any attention to nightlife while in Jackson, yet streets are cramming with tourists every single night. In terms of nightlife, Jackson Hole can easily compete with much larger cities like Bozeman or Idaho Falls.
Jackson Hole Nightlife-Restaurants and Pubs
Jackson Hole nightlife usually revolves around its welcoming restaurants, a surprising equilibrium between western-like wooden designs and refined dished. Some of the restaurants are very appreciated for their wine selection, Old Yellowstone Garage and Koshu Wine Bar; others offer an intimate atmosphere, like Trio or Rendezvous Bistro; and there is Dornan’s in Moose Junction, whose large widows let you gaze for ours at the snowy and razor-sharp peaks of the Tetons. Music lovers will be happy to hear there are several pubs where concerts and live music sessions are held on a daily basis: Silver Dollar Bar and Grill in the Wort Hotel and The Mangy Moose in Teton Village. The most popular places among the younger tourists are The Rancher Spirits and Billiard, The Log Cabin Saloon (a favorite for its numerous and cheap drink options) and The Shady Lady (were rock, reggae and funk bands occasionally play). Stagecoach Bar is another youth favorite, where they can enjoy dancing and various music genres. For a family evening, Sidewinders and Calico are the right places.
Jackson Hole Nightlife-Cowboy Fun
The Jackson Hole nightlife might have begun before its very existence: decades before settlers arrived, the beaver trappers use to have summer meetings in the area, where they talked, drank, danced and played games. A similar atmosphere can now be found in the Wild West Bar category, like Million Dollar Cowboy Bar (right in downtown Jackson, with real cowboy clientele) or the Virginian Saloon.
Jackson Hole Nightlife-Popular Activities
As far as movie amateurs are concerned, Jackson Hole has three movie theaters: Teton Theatre, Jackson Hole Twin Cinema and Movieworks Cinema 4, with plenty of options to choose from. Different Shows, plays and concerts can be watched at Jackson Hole Playhouse, Pink Garter Theatre or at The Center for Arts. There is also a Ripley’s Believe It or Not in Jackson, for the amazement of both children and adults. Another distraction, somehow exotic for a mountain town, is the Jackson Hole Limo Lounge, a private shuttle that drives you around Jackson while you can enjoy dinner.
