With a relatively young population, the median age being twenty three, Jacksonville North Carolina provides many great options for nightlife. Jacksonville is also known affectionately as “J-Action-Ville” and “J-Ville”. Jacksonville is home to many great nightlife entertainment spots. Weekend nights are full of people not only from Jacksonville but also from the nearby areas like Brunswick, Gainesville, Hubert, Verona, Kellum and Cyrus etc.

Jacksonville Nightlife: Alexander’s

One of the best clubs in the town, it hosts Casual Fridays with wonderful DJs like DJ R.O.D of 94.1 FM. They often have special drinks and even contests and door prizes with cash money being given as a reward. On Casual Fridays, there is a free entry for females. On Thursday’s the club has Salsa lessons for those interested.

Jacksonville – Nightlife: Oliver’s

Oliver’s is the best club to go to on a Friday night. Based in the lobby of the local Day’s Inn, it is famous as the best club in the city. It is always packed full on every night of the week with all the people having a great time.

Jacksonville Nightlife: Sywanyk’s

This club hosts Comedy Night on Wednesday nights with an hour and a half long comedy show by a comedian. No other club in the town has a comedy show. On Friday and Saturday nights, the club has dance party nights, which start at ten pm. The DJ even takes requests, and unlike other clubs, will even play them. Local beers run in the two dollar range and cocktails are from four to six dollars.

The club also has Marine Corps memorabilia, which is very interesting to look at. There is a lounge on a balcony to relax on as well as pool tables and a dart board.

From eight pm to ten pm on Fridays, the club has Salsa lessons for those who are interested.

On Thursday nights, this tavern has a special place where you can bring your own thirty two ounce cup and fill it with the draft beer for just a dollar.

This club has 2-step and line dancing lessons every evening around seven or eight pm. The lessons are free.

Jacksonville Nightlife: Hooligans

The best bands come to play at this club and you can find everything in spot here, from pool tables to darts, and even food, drinks and a dance floor. It’s a very spacious club, and has a special on Wednesdays where it has Miller Lite beer available for half a dollar, and ladies’ entry is free.

Tourists from the other parts of the United States like Boston, New York, Chicago and Denver come to spend their holidays.
