Bratislava's Geography and Climate
Beauty of the Danube, as it is often called, Bratislava is the capital and the largest city of the Slovak Republic. It is located in southwestern Slovakia crossed by the Danube River from west to south-east. The climate in Bratislava is usually referred to as continental with hot summers and humid cold winters. The average temperature is around 27 degrees in July and 2 degrees in January.
