Taguig Nightlife, Philippines
The Sounds of Taguig
One of the newly established cities of Metro Manila is now the newest and next best destination for a fun and interesting night out. Most of Taguig City’s night life is centered round the area of Fort Bonifacio or the Bonifacio Global City. The former Fort McKinley is not only an area of upscale residences and high-rise office buildings that can rival that of neighboring Makati City, this area is riddled with lifestyle complexes that turn into amazing night spots when the sun sets.
Fort Bonifacio
As you enter the area of Fort Bonifacio you are struck with how much of it is new and modern which adds to its appeal. This area is the sight of major establishments like international schools, high-end residences and offices of global corporations. It has all the amenities of a city which is also known as the Bonifacio Global City.
But when the work day ends and the night falls, there are two areas you need to visit and experience what Taguig has to offer for the partygoer, these are Bonifacio High Street and the Fort Strip.
Bonifacio High Street
Just strolling along the promenade of this shopping complex in the evening already constitutes a great night out. The area is divided into six quadrants each offering different shops and dining experiences and right in the middle of it all is a park area filled with interesting modern sculptures, some of which you can interact with. And if you want to stretch your legs, there are park benches everywhere so you can sit back and enjoy the night scenery.
Aside from great shops, Bonifacio High Street offers its visitors a wide array of dining and leisure choices. The area is home to numerous cafes from the popular Starbucks to new players like Bo’s Coffee Club. Well-known dining establishments such as T.G.I. Fridays and Italianni’s can also be found here. But for more dining options the Serendra Piazza offers a variety of restaurants offering different world cuisines. And for a night of serious dancing, check out Ascend just around the corner.
The Fort Strip
Right beside the Bonifacio High Street is another open area lifestyle complex called the Fort Strip. As its name implies, this area features an entire strip of restaurants and bars including a fitness gym and some spa establishments. At night, this area is brimming with partygoers, bar hoppers or just anyone looking to have some fun after a whole day’s work.
The restaurants in this area offer a choice of cuisines from Italian, Japanese to traditional Filipino dishes. After a full meal, it’s time for some dessert. Check out Cold Rock Ice Creamery where you can make your own ice cream but if you’re craving for some sweet donuts, there’s Go Nuts Donuts nearby.
The Fort Strip is popular for its club scene and the area is riddled with hip clubs each offering a different kind of vibe. While you’re there check out clubs like Mint, Porcelain, Piedra and of course the trendiest of all, the Embassy Super Club.
