Ozamis City Nightlife, Philippines
Who says going out in Ozamis at night is dangerous? It is if you go out alone on your first visit. It goes along with other cities you go to in any part of the world. You can’t enjoy your stay if you go out alone, can you?
Among other places, Ozamis City can be named as one of the most peaceful places to visit. It is but a small, moderately developed place where you can find a few commercial establishments at night. The most commonly visited places you can go to are the videoke centers. It’s where you will find people from all walks of life enjoying their night out with family, relatives and friends singing at a videoke machine. You don’t have to be a good singer though in order to qualify to sing. All you need is a five-peso Philippine coin dropped in the machine, choose a song that you’re familiar with, and sing! Everyone inside the room can hear your voice! Most of them sing with a bottle of beer or wine, depending on their choice.
Do you want to try a new taste? Here’s another suggestion you will definitely enjoy while in Ozamis City. This is preferable if you have a resident with you when you go out at night as a guide. He or she can take you to a small resto where they sell locally made wine called “tuba”. It’s made from coconut, fermented in time. Try it! It has a unique taste and you can find it only in the Philippines. You don’t even have to go to any fine dining areas. You can drink all you can inside the comforts of your home. It’s worth the fun and excitement if you are with friends and relatives.
If you are a loner-type and nature-lover, visiting the shorelines at night would be very ideal. The place is very quiet, fresh sea breeze whistling over your ears while listening to your favorite music may be a good option for you. There are those who opt to eat fresh seafood at restaurants by the sea at night too. Romantics and beach lovers even stroll around enjoying the night out in this simple city.
Ozamis City doesn’t have much of a nightlife during ordinary days. There are times where barangays celebrate their 9-day fiesta; you’ll get much of the nightlife enjoying their simple yet enjoyable nightly events like dance competition, Miss Gay, and their makeshift theme parks. Enjoy simple living!
