The city of Legazpi happens to be the capital city for the Albay Province which is amongst the many provinces that make up the country of Philippines. The city of Legazpi is also amongst the many first class cities in the country of Philippines. Around 17 regions are also part of Philippines and Bicol Region is one of them. The city of Legazpi is the only regional center for this Bicol Region.
The city of Legazpi has grown considerably in last couple of years in terms of transportation facilities for the locals as well as for the tourists that regularly hit this city. As of now the city of Legazpi has a huge Legazpi Airport which is gifted with a runway that is around 2300 meters in length. The huge size of this airport was the reason why it was tagged as an International airport and it regularly operates many International level flights. The huge Legazpi Airport and the number of flights that regularly take off from this airport have made Legazpi Airport the best gateway into the Southern Luzon region. Although the city already has such a huge airport still the local government has launched a project to build another international level airport in the proximity of this city.
The city of Legazpi is also connected to the city of Manila via road. It takes around 10 hours by road from the city of Manila to hit the city of Legazpi. Over ten bus companies run many busses between Legazpi and Manila thus making the city of Legazpi easily accessible from the capital of Philippines. Although the city of Legazpi had railway lines by a severe typhoon destroyed most of them somewhere in the year 2006. Since then railway system hasn’t yet been started in the city of Legazpi
The huge city of Legazpi has been divided into 70 different barangays and this makes the administration of this city for the local government very easy.
Media in the city of Legazpi has also grown very quickly in last couple of years with around eight channels running successfully in the city of Legazpi.
The city of Legazpi is a must visit for students due to the number of educational institutes, for businessmen due to its strong economical background, and tourists due to the number of tourism hot spots in this city.
