Trujillo Nightlife, Peru

Trujillo is a city of Peru that is rather quiet on weekdays. It is only in the weekends that you can actually experience some excitement and nightlife in Trujillo.

The discos of Trujillo are indeed very local in its outlook, and comprises mostly of the young crowd, they are centered on the outer side of the city. Despite being a small town, the city has a surprising number of casinos you can head for to get some night time entertainment.

There are also some movie houses, and two multiplexes, which show the most recent English movies to keep you busy at night as they are quite good a place to head for in the evenings.

Besides the discos and Penas, there are many pubs and karaokes you can visit in Trujillo in the evenings. It is up to you to decide where you want to go, depending on how you intend to spend your evenings.

Las Tinajas is a popular bar of Trujillo which comprises of a balcony that overlooks the Plaza de Armas and has a discotheque downstairs. This is the best place to head if you are looking for some drinks in the middle of the week as the weekends; the place gets filled with youngsters to enjoy its live rock and pop music.

El Estribo is a lively music hall of Trujillo that offers Pena music, and sometimes, performances from Mariah Carey’s aspirants. The La Canana is a local Pena and restaurant offering good, live music with dancing on weekends.

Luna Rota is located in the Santa Maria district of the Huayna Capac and is a complete complex having a disco for youngsters, a casino for mature people and a pub for everyone.

If you are looking for the first run American and European movies in its prime languages, then you have to go to the Cine Primavera. Of the many casinos found along the Pizarro and Orbegoso, the Casino Solid gold is open 24 hours and the most entertaining of the lot.
