Aguascalientes History
It was the year 1529 when the Spanish army took control of this land. Nuño Beltrán de Guzmán was the leader of the army of 300 fighters and around 6000 families which finally settled in Aguascalientes. The Spanish army named this area as Nueva Galicia.
