Trieste Nightlife, Italy
Trieste, Nightlife – General Information
Trieste is an amazingly beautiful city located in the north east of Italy, near the border with Slovenia. It has everything a tourist can desire: ancient architecture, the Adriatic Sea and the Kras Plateau, which looks like a veritable mountain. Trieste’s geographical position created a perfect climate with warm temperatures that start at the beginning of March an ends in October. So, if you plan to visit this beautiful city, make sure you stay away from winter months when it is mostly foggy and the humidity is pretty high.
Trieste, Nightlife – Going Out
Just like any modern town, Trieste has a wide variety of restaurants you can choose from according to your tastes and preferences. You can find any type of dishes here, from Chinese and Japanese, to Mediterranean and of course traditional Triestine one. However, there are some specific rules that you should be aware of before actually having dinner out. Each meal starts with an “aperitivo ” which is a light dish served before the main meal. Also, keep in mind that each restaurant adds 1 or 2 Euros to the bill for having eaten inside. No matter how awkward this might sound to you, the majority of Italians, irrespective of the season, like to enjoy their “aperitivo” outside the bar with a glass of wine in their hands.
Among the most popular places in town, there are: Bar Udine, Trattoria, La Portitza, Da Libero, Biffet da Pepi, Caffee degli Specchi, Café Tommasseo etc
