San Salvador Nightlife, El Salvador
San Salvador nightlife can be best defined as ‘cool-n-hip’, making it the strongest point of San Salvador tourism. Unlike the major cities of the neighboring countries like Guatemala, Managua or Tegucigalpa, variety is the spice of San Salvador nightlife.
Live music and films are integral parts of San Salvador nightlife. There are many theaters and cinema halls in San Salvador but you can catch different movies including new releases as well as all-time hits at other entertainment venues like bars and clubs.
San Salvador Nightlife – Popular Drinking Spots
A visit to the Café La 'T' will give you a nice beginning. As the name suggests, coffee (rather latte) is the specialty here and you can enjoy your ‘cuppa’ amid photos and posters of indigenous coffee workers. Live music shows are organized on alternate Fridays and films are screened every Wednesday and Thursday.
Your next stop can be the Irish pub El Arpa Irlandés (at Avenida "A", Boulevard de los Héroes). It is just the place to chill with your drink.
Another Boulevard de los Héroes’ bar, El Atrio, screens alternative movies at least three days a week. Friday nights are special and entertainment on this day varies from live concerts to concert videos and the like.
La Luna Casa y Arte is a hip bar in the Blvd de los Heroes area. The drinks are good and so is the ambience. Here you will get to see modern artworks. Live concerts and movie-nights add to the appeal of the place.
La Ventana is yet another stylish San Salvador bar, which offers a variety of Belgian ales and German beers along with local brews.
Les 3 Diables and Los Rinconcitos are among the other popular drinking holes in San Salvador city.
San Salvador Nightlife – Popular Clubs And Discos
Part of the Señor Frogs' chain, Zona Rosa club has three distinct sections – a restaurant (named Guadalajara Grill), a bar with an adjoining dance-floor (named El Patrón) and Jala la Jarra, the bar-cum-disco area.
Code and Elements (both in Zona Rosa) are among other popular San Salvador clubs. While the former is famous for its music-scene and its laser-shows, the latter’s discotheque is a huge-hit with 20-something crowds.
San Salvador has two gay/lesbian discos – Mileniun and Yascuas.
San Salvador is just spilling out with bars and discos and other night-time entertainment venues. Check out the most active night-spots like Basilea Mall, Boulevard de Los Heroes, La Gran Via, La Terraza (in Sheraton Hotel) and Las Terrazas (in Multiplaza Mall) for a fulfilling San Salvador nightlife experience.
