Slavonski Brod is situated 47 miles from Osijek and 179 miles from Dubrovnik. It is the sixth largest city in Croatia. It counts more than 60 thousands inhabitants and it represents a major traffic and transportation crossroads location in the country. It is also placed on the Sava river being thus, a river port, its old name meaning “water crossing”.
