Haarlem is a small town, situated near Amsterdam about 20 km from the Dutch capital. It is know for it's rich history, beautiful architecture and it's prominent market square. The Sint-Bavokerk is the symbol of the city which lies also at the market square. Once a former catholic cathedral, now being a protestant church, it is renowned for it's stunning yet puritan structure also.
The city is one of the wealthiest in the country, providing many fine shops with famous brands and also quality restaurants.
Like most Dutch cities, the city also has a well developed and connected canals with lovely houses, which makes the city even more pleasant.
The flourishing culture can be sensed in Haarlem,due the fact, it is a worthy destination for everybody.

Haarlem nightlife thrives throughout the week, and although is not as busy as Amsterdam Nightlife with the Red Light District or the Rotterdam Nightlife, most pubs will stay open until 2AM during weekdays and until early in the morning at weekends. You will find that the Central Square gets very crowded at 5AM and there still are things to do at that hour.
