First Day in Repashuta, Hungary

We arrived around 11 a.m. to Miskolc, where my boyfriend's (Zoli) relatives live. Miskolc is a city situated in north Hungary.
After eating and gossiping a bit we went together with the relatives to Repashuta to the wedding. This little village is relatively close to Miskolc but you have to drive on serpentine paths so we arrived after a 40 minutes drive. The village is on a hill, near a forest, so it's really nice. This is the home of the bride, Kati.
The bridegroom, Zoli's uncle, we met earlier on our way to Miskolc, so we arrived together.
The bride's home was a bigger house with a garden in which tables and chairs were put. Many kinds of drinks and food waited us:) The garden was decorated with flowers and silk bands.
After welcoming everyone the first part of the ceremony began. The bridegroom had to 'ask out' the bride from her parents and after this the wedding guests had to walk through the village (which means a 2 km road:)) behind the couple. This is a tradition in this village. It's quite a funny tradition: when the bridal-party walks through the village the people living there can come out and watch this. If many people come out that means that they like you, and everything is alright. But only a few people come to see you it's a bad sign. And I almost forget something: the people who come out to the street get cookies:)
After this we all went to the church. After the ceremony, which wasn't too long, we went back to Repashuta to a nice restaurant which was just in front of the bride's house. It was decorated for the wedding with flowers and candels, but it had also an own decoration which reminded a hunter's house with horns and furs. We liked it very much.
The food was delicious, the music was good (it was live music), so we had a good time. In the middle of the party the bride was 'kidnapped' so the bridegroom had to do funny things to get her back, for example he had to run around the room with his mother-in-law on his back and saying loud "I love my mother-in-law":) you can imagine how we laughed all the time...
We left the party at 4-5 in the morning and went to sleep to Miskolc. We stopped at Lilafured, a little village near Miskolc (or maybe it is a part of the city, I'm not sure). There is a castle with a nice park, and a waterfall. Here we made some photos, too.
