Munich is really a vibrant city. You love it or you dont like it. I personally wouldn't want to live there, at least for a longer time.
The place offers you a wide variety of things you can do. If you only want to go shopping, there're a lot of shops, for clothes, decoration things, everything. During that time, you can also drink a cup of tea or coffe in the bars and restaurnats around, especially at the Marienplatz.
Also regarding culture you can do a lot. For example you can visit Deutsche Museum. At least the city is really worth a visit. Also because of the special munich behaviour of the people!

Nightlife in Munich is something you should not miss at all. The locale around the Munchener Freiheit is a well-known nightlife place with its countless cafes, bars, restaurants, dance clubs, jazz venues and horde of students and young people, particularly on Occamstrasse.
