If you are interested in history you should visit the "Glypthothek" at the Königsplatz in Munich. A lot of ancient sculptures from greek and roman history can be found there. Some really exceptional statues, like the "Sleeping Faun" or the statues of the temple of Aegintes. In the exhibition you can see the developement of ancient arts, from the archaic period till the roman period.

If you are close at once, go there. As a student of history or archaeology you can get free entrance or at least an discount.
