The Depot District
It is located adjacent to the Buddy Holly Center. There are a lot of shopping centers, bars, and restaurants in this district.
Lubbock Memorial Civic Center
It is a special purpose hall that hosts more than 800 events and special programs every year. This civic center was built to commemorate those who lost their lives in 1970 during the Lubbock Tornado.
Buddy Holly Center
It is a newly renovated fort in Lubbock. This center exhibits special programs, events and live shows throughout the year. Group tours are also arranged to Buddy Holly Center.
Museum of Texas Tech University
It features more than 2 million collectibles of historical importance. The museum has many scientific, educational and researched elements. Adjacent to the museum are the Natural Science Research Laboratory, the Val Verde Country research site and Moody planetarium.
Cactus Theater
It is a historical theater constructed in 1938. It serves as a venue for live performances and as a movie theatre. It has a capacity of 720 seats.
MacKenzie Park
It is one of the best picnic spots in Lubbock.
Texas Water Rampage
It features a 900 square foot water pool full of activities and fun. It provides a lot of fun and amusement to children. It also features a picnic area and a volleyball field.
Lubbock Municipal Auditorium and Coliseum
It hosts a number of concerts, lectures and live seminars throughout the year. It is a multi-purpose venue for major concerts and events. It is also home to Central Hockey League.
