Myrtle Beach takes one of its names for the many myrtle trees in this area and the other for the remarkable beach sought by millions of visitors each year that overrun the place especially in summer. If you fancy a secluded, wild beach this is definitely not the place to be.

This top vacation destination is set along the East Coast, at the center of the Grand Strand, a 60-mile string of beaches making it an ideal base for a Grand Strand vacation.

All of them offer a different thrill and pace.

Besides the entertainment centers, the beach is also a big attraction and there is plenty to do here too: whether you just want to lay on the beach and sunbathe or go for more activity including water sports, swimming or boating the options are wide open. Fishing enthusiasts have a lot of opportunities to practice their favorite sport and they can choose from locations like: a public pier, the surf or a charter boat. Getting on a charter boat is quite easy as you don’t have to book too much ahead.
