Being one of the major towns, which also has the credit of creating great music from its earlier days, it is expected that Memphis will be one of the most happening places at night. Having given birth to rock-n-roll, Memphis has produced great bands, like Blues. The already exuberant nightlife gets even better with the flavor of music. Moreover, there are various forms of recreation that add on to the music, like dance clubs, sports bars, college bars and some gay bars.
Nightclubs
People living in Memphis love to party and keep their feet moving at the beat of exceptional music. Dance clubs and music clubs are available in plenty all over the city that would definitely cater to your taste. The most popular dance bar in Memphis is the Alfred’s, which delivers throbbing music as well as the best barbeques almost every night. Multilevel dance clubs like Club 152 are also well appreciated along with clubs like Raiford’s and Senses, of which the former is considered the rowdiest of all clubs at Memphis. Other than the normal genre, there are various sports clubs like Fargo’s, which are exclusively brought up for the younger generation.
Bars and Pubs
The Beale street of Memphis River City is well renowned for the numerous bars and pubs present there. One could say that there are so many of these pubs and bars present that if anyone were to go about in each of them they would surely collapse. The Beale is considered to be the heart of the city’s nightlife. Some of the most popular bars are the Coyote Ugly Saloon, Alex’s Tavern, Beale Street Tap Room and the list goes on. Black Diamond is one of the most recent, though smaller, additions to the series of hangouts in the city.
Restaurants
No matter what you do, you cannot enjoy the night without great food. For this reason alone, numerous restaurants present in the city offer variety of cuisine, which could be specific or fusion. The basic Mississippi essence is the most popular to complement, which you would also get Cajun, Spanish, African and French. The most sought after restaurants are the EP Delta Kitchen, Brazil Churascaria and the Bluefin, which have their unique type of preparations. Other than these, there are Capriccio Grill, Chez Philippe and Encore. The list also includes the Garland’s Restaurant, which will allow you to reserve a table for yourself.
