Dayton Nightlife, Ohio

Dayton, OH US - Nightlife: Life after sunset in Dayton

The adage ‘it is not a happening area’ has time and again been proved wrong, as Dayton is no less than others when it comes to nightlife. For people, who are crazy about music, movies, foods and drinks or even those, who die to meet celebrities, Dayton has everything to offer.

Vue

To the south of Dayton, there is ‘Vue’. It is undoubtedly a cool treasure, the township has to offer. One cannot even guess from outside whether it is a pub or not. Chairs line the upper deck of the bar and there are fire places in each corner. There is bumping music, which are sure to set you in motion. However, the most important thing in the bar is that women can get hold of their drinks even when in washroom. So, they do not have to make a queue.

Fox and Hound

The ‘Fox and Hound’ has great collections of beer. A rummy martin and a cranberry mix are very famous here. The most interesting aspect of this bar is that one can even play ping pong in addition to pool, shuffleboard, video screens and darts. Then there is ‘Dub Pub’, which is very friendly in nature. There are Irish whiskeys and live bands. They have a special cigar smoking room too.

Dance Floors

For those who like to get on the dance floor, Dayton has a number of options for them. Though small, ‘The Pearl’ draws a decent number of people and most importantly, it remains open up to 3 am. ‘Hammerjacks’ has something for everyone. Upstairs, there is a chilling lounge with an LCD. There are bar tables, couches, pool tables and a small bar. Downstairs, there is a double deck dance floor in addition to two smaller bars. They also have a coat check, a must in winter. For the hard core dancers, there is the warehouse-turned-club, Foundry. With average drink and a spinning DJs, one gets himself rolling.

Restaurants

For the food junkies, the list is endless. There is ‘Marion’s plaza’. The delicious and unique style of Pizza is very popular among the locals since 40 years. ‘The Chop House’ is a Thai restaurant. It features Sushi and traditional Thai specialties. ‘The Milano’s’ on Brown street is very popular for baked subs and Pizzas. ‘Madison’s Bistro’, a family run restaurant is very famous among the locals for its special and popular Greek dishes.

When sun sets in city of Dayton, places like these get a new breath of life from partygoers and tourists from across the globe.
