Travel
Kansas City has two airports. One is the Kansas City International Airport which serves 15 airlines and has three terminals. It provides shuttle services from the airport to the main area of the city. The other airport is the Charles B. Wheeler Downtown Airport. It used to serve as the center of operations of the Trans World Airline but nowadays, it is utilized for recreational air shows and general aviation flights.
Cars or private vehicles are the preferred mode of transportation within the city since traffic is not heavy and there are a lot of parking spaces. People who like light exercise may use bicycles. Kansas City also has two bus lines which are the Chiefs Express and Royals Express. For tourists who do not have private vehicles and who do not wish to take scheduled bus rides, car rentals can be found in the city.
Climate
Kansas City is located at the center of the country. Since it lacks a body of water in its surroundings, the weather in this city can drastically change from a humid and warm summer that reaches up to a temperature higher than 100 degrees Fahrenheit to very chilly winter days that go under freezing point. If you are planning to have a tour around the city, go there during spring or autumn because those are the times when the weather is mild.
Annual Events
Kansas City plays host to several fun, cultural and colorful events. Happening every first Friday of the month is the First Fridays in the Crossroads Art District. People visit one of the country's biggest art walks where exhibits of artworks at different galleries and shops open to the public.
Another celebration that showcases the works of art of top visual artists is the Plaza Art Fair that is done every September. The City of Kansas features the German culture through their celebration of the Kansas City Oktoberfest which is made more fun by music, food and exhibits.

Whether you are looking for a place where you can shop, be entertained, or have a taste of good food, Kansas City is an ideal travel destination. It is also rich in architectural buildings that can present you with historical and cultural heritages of the city. Tourists can visit one of the major landmarks of the city which is the Union Station where there are a lot of boutiques and restaurants. In addition to that, special shows are also performed here. The Science City, and the Irish Museum and Cultural Center can also be found in the Union Station.
