Restaurants and Dining Options
A lot of foodies could select from dining alternatives in Chicago. Whether you are craving for a taste of American dishes and other regional specialties, the city is your place to be. Some of the famous Chicago restaurants are:
Charlie Trotter’s. Located at 816 W. Armitage Avenue at Halsted Street, this restaurant is open from Tuesdays to Saturdays from 6:00 to 10:00 PM. Named after Chicago’s first celebrity chef, it offers you fine dining in a very creative way. The place is a bit expensive though. You need not worry since the dining pleasure is worth your money.
Morton’s. If you are craving for steaks and chops, Morton’s is your place. It is located at 1050 N. State St. and is open Mondays to Saturdays from 5:30 to 11:00 PM and on Sundays from 5:00 to 10:00 PM.
Spiaggia. This restaurant will guarantee that Italian food experience you are looking for. It is situated at 980 N. Michigan Avenue, Oak Street. It is open from Tuesdays to Thursdays from 5:30 to 9:30 PM, on Fridays to Saturdays from 11:30 AM to 2:00 PM and on Sundays from 5:30 to 9:00 PM.
Nightclubs and Bars
If you want to party and groove to traditional and modern day music, Chicago offers you many options. All you have to do is choose from the following places:
Funky Buddha Lounge. This place is located at 728 W. Grand Avenue. West of the North gallery district. It is artistically designed from the leopard-skin sofas to the antique fixtures. Thursday nights are for young ones while Friday and Saturday nights are crowd drawers.
Green Dolphin Street. Located at 2200 N. Ashland Avenue, this nightclub and restaurant embraces the 1940’s retro style. Latin jazz and big bands entice the public. It is open from Wednesdays to Sundays.
House of Blues. Reggae, hip-hop, rock and even novelty acts lighten the mood of every visitor of this club. It is located at 329 N. Dearborn St., this place has a lot more to offer from concerts to typical European operas.
Le Passage. The decors seen in this nightclub come from France thus they appear with French exquisiteness. It is located at 1 Oak Place. The soundtrack mixes hip hop, soul, R & B, acid jazz and funk.
There is a number of nightlife choices found in the area. You will have a taste of what it takes to party after experiencing Chicago’s sights by the day. You will put yourself to sleep happily after having a night out with friends.
