Midtown Beach

If you are determined to hit the sand in the city, Midtown Beach should definitely your stop. Given the exclusive nature of the community, public access to the beach is not a priority. Hence, this beach can be considered a rare luxury. Recently, sand reclamation has led to the Midtown Beach getting enlarged. It has also added more space for locals and visitors.

Henry Morrison Flagler Museum

Henry Morrison Flagler Museum recreates the luxury of the 20th century. It occupies the mansion that Henry Flagler, founder of Standard Oil, built for his wife. Flagler’s daughter saved this Beaux-Art-style structure from 1959’s wrecking ball. She restored the original magnificence of this museum. Now, most of its rooms include regal furnishing and ornate architecture along with a galore of art.

Ann Norton Sculpture Gardens

Founder of Norton Museum of Art, Ralph Norton, shared a home with his second wife. Ann Norton Sculpture Gardens is located in that home and the works of his second wife are on display. Sculptures of Ann Norton are scattered everywhere around the garden. They were created for displaying the art and providing a haven for birds. Monolithic outdoor pieces have been largely crafted with primitive quality brick. There are 300 specimens of palms in this wonderful garden.

Mounts Botanical Garden

Spread across Mounts Botanical Garden is 14 acres in wealth of plants, all of which thrive in the temperate climate of South Florida. It comprises of specimens from six different continents, which illustrates the presence of diverse growing conditions in the region. Visitors can even find local vegetation in the garden. They even find inspiration for their gardens from this living exhibit. Special events are organized throughout the year. They mainly involve plant sales where visitors purchase nursery plants and accessories for decorative gardens.

Currie Park

Set up on water, Currie Park offer views across Palm Beach to Lake Worth. This park is an open green space. It is popular amongst sports enthusiasts and walkers. Walking paths, piers, tennis courts, large fields and a playground are amongst the features of Currie Park. Trees, seen in abundance, add more beauty to the region.

Thus, there is no doubt that West Palm Beach offers wonderful attractions for lovers of art and fun.
