Panama City Beach Travel Guide, Florida
Panama City Beach is definitely not a secluded, wild beach; it is quite the opposite, full of life and a popular destination for millions of tourists that come mainly from the nearby states of Alabama, Georgia, Mississippi and Louisiana. They will find here sandy beaches, golf courses, fishing, boating, and fresh seafood.
There is nothing you can’t find here. In fact you'll find so many attractions in and around Panama City Beach area you'll be awestruck, aghast and astounded on a daily basis. From the amusement parks and the bars to the educational museums you can find the place to suit your taste and depending on the pace you like to keep and the age level, you can spend in these places anything from a couple of hours to most of a day. You will even find something to suite your budget as there are plenty of accommodations to choose from and you’ll have few problems finding somewhere to eat good food in a fun atmosphere at reasonable prices.
No wonder it is called the "Redneck Riviera", and one good thing about it is that you can enjoy all this late into autumn and begin coming from early spring as do those from MTV who come here in spring to broadcast the beach-party.
The resort’s prime focus is to entertain the tourists and this is what the amusement parks do. One of them is the Miracle Strip Amusement Park fully quipped with all the necessary rides including a 105-foot-high roller coaster and a milder ride provided by the traditional carousel. You will want to try all of them in a continuous frenzy and at the end of the day you will still feel you want to come back for more. But the next day you might want to try the other park that provides just as much fun. The Shipwreck Island Water Park focuses on water entertainment. The entertainment options include all kinds of options to suit every age. The young ones will try the Tad Pole Hole while the older ones definitely try the 1,600-foot-long winding Lazy River where you can catch up to a speed of 35-mph.
Everything is done for your comfort and safety, so the only thing you should worry about is how to have the maximum of great time.
If you feel exhausted after so much action, the next day can be spent visiting the Gulf World Marine Park and watch scuba demonstrations, shark feedings, watch the penguins, dolphins and sea lions perform some entertaining shows. But if you still have some appetite for action you can go for a trainer-for-a-day a dolphin encounter.
Finding out more about marine life and the history of scuba diving is possible if you go to the Museum of Man in the Sea. It exhibits displays of the underwater world dating from 1500. You will understand and learn a lot of things about diving with the help of hands-on exhibits while in the aquariums you will see the sea life from the area.
Another place just as informational this time on animals living on earth, is the ZooWorld Zoological & Botanical Park whose prime concern is to protect endangered species through its programs. The animals to be seen here are lions, leopards, orangutans, tigers, reptiles and many others. But what is special about this zoo is that you can see on close view the baby animals born right here at the zoo.
For the nightlife, either take in a night at the Ocean Opry Show presenting a show every night or check out the club & bar scene including The Breakers, beautiful views and music for dining and dancing. There are nightclubs, lounges, dance clubs and live music venues to keep the night going.
With a seemingly never-ending list of things to see and do, you'd want to get a head start and jet off to Panama City Beach.
