The history of the Fremont area was recorded from 9 June, 1797 when Fermin de Lasuen, the Spaniard father founded the mission san Jose. This mission was recognized at Ohlone village in Oroysome. As the San Jose mission progressed, the population of the place increased to 1886 inhabitants in the year 1831.
