Corona, CA US - Overview: An ethnical diverse community

Corona city is situated around 45 miles south-east of L.A. in western side of the Riverside County. It is a city with a heritage spanning over a century. They have emerged as one of the ethnically diverse communities. Here, a significant percentage is contributed by young and well-educated families.

History

Traditionally, the vicinity has many imperative features. The renowned Luiseño Indians, who are considered to be the first family of Spanish origin to inhabit in the County, the Timescale Mines of Tin, and several best clay & mineral dumps in US are situated in Corona. On July 13, 1896, residents voted to incorporate and change the name of the community to Corona. It is a Spanish term and means ‘Crown’. This name was given in the honor of Circular Grand Boulevard in the city. In 1915, America saw its 1st lemon processing plant built in this city. Again in 1985, the largest cheese plant of the world opened at Lincoln Avenue.
