These include studios of important motion picture companies as well as television network studios including Cartoon Network, Columbia Pictures, NBC Universal, The Walt Disney Company and Warner Bros. Entertainment.

Economy and Infrastructure
The city of Burbank is the backbone of regional economy, which is largely monopolized by the entertainment and media industries. People are either directly employed by entertainment companies and media houses or are part of ancillary services. Telecommunications and the Internet Industry also make important contribution for the city’s economic progress.
Burbank lies within the Burbank Unified School District; apart from quality public and private K-12 schools, the city also has a number of colleges (some of these colleges proffer special courses on make-up and beauty-trade). The efficient police force of the city has been able to keep a control on the crime-rate. The city has good hospitals and health-care facilities and various public works/utility services are offered to both locals and vacationers.
Burbank has excellent road and rail network. Although people mostly use cars, a public transport system is also available. Metrolink and Amtrak can also be used for journeying. Burbank is served by the Bob Hope Airport, which runs some 70 flights daily to/from different destinations.
