After the Hurricane Katrina hit the Gulf Coast in the year 2005, the Mobile city in United States suffered severe flooding that damaged some of the coastal areas and the downtown area. But when compared to other cities like Biloxi and New Orleans, the city of Mobile fared far better. Since then Mobile almost recovered fully and became a great tourist spot for a large number of visitors from different parts of the world.
In other words, the city has to offer something or the other for people of different eclectic tastes and likings. Even the festivals and events conducted in this city are well known and highly popular among the residents as well as the foreign tourists. Apart from offering great tourist spots and events, the most striking quality about Mobile is its rich and vibrant nightlife.
Before the Hurricane truck, downtown on the Dauphin St. in the city has been hopping. There are various parts of the Dauphin that are closed to traffic on specific nights while the police patrol on horses. A truly favorite among the locals is the Martini’s that is featured with an upstairs dance club known as the Club Retro. One can also go out on the balcony and watch the crowd below thereby having a completely refreshing time. The crowd found at this nightlife spot is simply well behaved and good.
As far as the midtown of Mobile is concerned, the Callaghan’s Irish Pub, Marine Street and The Bakery Bar are amongst the few favorites. Also, if you are a complete foodie and wish to spend great evening, Guido is also a fantastic option to try out. Even the Ruth’s Chris and The Double Olive are some of the popular nightlife destinations that are a must visit in Mobile.
The Boo Radley’s, Harley’s, Grand Central Station and the Soul Kitchen bar are among the hot favorites and most admired nightlife places to hang out in the city of Mobile with the young generation. Many of the night clubs and bars in Mobile are featured with different kinds of music and DJ such as R&B, underground, dance, pop and hip hop. There are some outdoor clubs located on the beach as well that provide fabulous music and some provide a special balcony for VIPs. So, don’t waste any more time and grab the opportunity to have a fantastic evening and late night enjoying the lively nightlife of Mobile.
