Birmingham Nightlife, Alabama

Birmingham, Alabama is a great place to enjoy nightlife, especially in the downtown area, which offers an almost limitless list of places where you can be entertained and covers a huge amount of space.  There are hundreds of planned and new lofts throughout the area, booming the area into a main residential and hot spot for nightlife.  Birmingham features all kinds of entertainment, including bistros, wine bars, neighborhood bars, live music venues, sexy lounges, and even an upscale nightclub that is VIP.

The Steel Urban Lounge is one of the biggest hot spots in Birmingham, being one of the best examples of never judging a book by the cover.  As you walk up to the club, it appears as an older building, but on the inside, it is gorgeous, having carpeted floors that lead the way to the giant bar at the back of the room.  There are places to sit for small groups all over and a big open party filled with people amounting by the hundreds.  The Steel Urban Lounge is open from Monday to Saturday from 4 until closing time, and you can find some kind of great event there every night.

Ona's Music Room has also become a hot spot in Birmingham, being neatly tucked away.  When you look at the outside of the club, you may think it is rather small, but this place is proof that appearances may be deceiving.  On the inside, you will find seating for about 100 people at tables, plus about a dozen more at the bar.  Most of the room is black, having black tablecloths, chairs, ceiling, and walls, some of the walls being red and some walls being covered with mirrors.  There is a stage situated opposite the bar, and the tables are arranged to face the stage.

Also in downtown Birmingham, you will find The Wine Loft, with a modern, but warm ambiance, having a more relaxing and comfortable nightlife scene.  The Loft's staff is very attentive, and they have a sensational list of wines and a menu of tapas that is offered.  The owners of the place, Mick and Mike Dunnavant, can be seen greeting the guests, as well as suggesting interesting wine pairings and tapas selections.  The Wine Loft has a selection of over 70 wines purchased by the glass, over 250 wines purchased by the bottle, as well as 12 dishes on the menu that are wine friendly.
