The Hull and East Riding Museum is located in the Museums Quarter. It has many exciting natural history and archaeology exhibits which include a collection of the only East Yorkshire dinosaur bones and Medieval artifacts.

Maister House allows visitors a small peek into the residential style of a Regency Era merchant. The house was rebuilt in 1743 as a merchant’s home but today it is let out as an office building. The entrance hall and staircase are available for viewing.

The Ferens Art Gallery opened in 1927 contains several award-winning permanent collection exhibits. There are also live art programs, tours, workshops, and a Children’s Gallery.

The Deep is an underground aquarium, or Submarium, with interactive modules that give information on the world’s different oceans according to time, depth, and latitude. There is also an underwater lift ride and a walk beneath Europe’s deepest aquarium.

Beverley Minster began as a small church in the 7th-8th century A.D. but soon developed into a monastery. The building was restored in the 18th century by a Baroque architect; however, some of the 15th and 16th century updates still exist. These include the west front and the choir miserichords.

Sewerby Hall and Gardens is a 19th century home and 50 acre park overlooking Bridlington Bay on the Flamborough Heritage Coast. The home and park include a zoological garden, an art gallery, a museum, an adventure playground, and bowling, golf, and cricket areas.

Beside the Seaside Museum gives visitors a historical sketch of life in the seaside resort town of Bridlington. Exhibits include a Victorian carriage and conversations in a breakfast room at a 1950’s lodging house.

Burnby Hall Gardens consists of two large lakes surrounded by eight acres of gardens. Lying atop the lakes is the largest display of water lilies in a natural environment in the world. The gardens also house a museum devoted to the world tours of Major Stewart in the early 1900’s.
