Blackpool, UK - Sights: Places Worth Seeing In Blackpool
The presence of sandy beaches and various entertainment facilities makes the town a very popular tourist attraction in England and bears witness to a huge number of tourist visits every year.

Blackpool Central Pier
It was designed by J.I. Mawson, and got inaugurated in the year 1868. The Central Pier was initially known as the south pier. The most striking feature of the pier is the gigantic Ferris wheel that was built in the year 1990. At a height of 108 feet, the visitors can get a great look of the sea while riding the Ferris wheel.
Blackpool Sea Life Centre
This centre happens to be located on what is known as the ‘Golden Mile’. A visit to this centre would help people to better understand the different things that happen under the sea. Children and adults can have a great time at the Sea Laboratory, which allows the visitors to get a feel of some sea creatures like the starfish, and crabs.
Blackpool Tower
This tower, standing tall at a little over 518 feet, is one of the most popular tourist attractions in Blackpool. On climbing it, visitors get to see an amazing view of the town. The Walk of Faith is a striking feature of the tower, which allows people to walk on reinforced glass, and on looking down, allows them to have a view of things that lie 320 feet below them.
Doctor Who Museum
This museum is solely dedicated to Doctor Who and the fans of the popular science-fiction program, will definitely like it. The museum displays the costumes that were worn by the doctors and also by their assistants in the program. People also get to look at the different enemies of Doctor Who, and all the items in the museum are spread over a wide area of 5,500 square feet.
Blackpool Pleasure Beach
It is regarded to be the biggest of all tourist attractions in the whole of Britain. Spread over a large area of 42 acres, the beach is packed with various rides and shows, which ensure that all visitors get to enjoy themselves irrespective of their age.
