Even if you find yourself in a small city, Fagaras nightlife will prove to be quite active, people going out very often in restaurants, pubs and clubs and having a good time on every occasion.

If you want to have lunch or dinner in the city, then you can choose among the numerous places you can go to and will surely be impressed by the hospitality and delicious treats offered there.

Calypso Restaurant and Terrace has a great location near the old city centre and offers delicious treats from both Romanian and international cuisine. In summer the restaurant’s terrace welcomes clients in a pleasant atmosphere completed by the occasional entertainment shows and theme parties organized by the host. At the theme parties the terrace offers besides the best music also karaoke and professional dancers to complete the atmosphere.

Another nice place to have lunch or dinner is Flora Restaurant, located downtown, the restaurant welcomes tourists in a warm atmosphere, with a special menu including traditional dishes being very popular for family parties or other such events. And last but not least, by far the most impressing place to eat in Fagaras is Fantanita Craiesei Restaurant. Located at the periphery of the city on the shores of a beautiful lake and part of a larger recreational complex, the restaurant offers the best Romanian specialties prepared by real culinary artists. They also have a piano bar where the attentively chosen parts melt down the typical noise of an evening dinner, the wine gets a distinctive taste and the entire place turns into a subtle, elegant hall.

Pizzerias are also very popular here; the most appreciated ones being the Ra&Ra Pizzeria and Pizza Iulia bringing some of the sunny Mediterranean flavors to Fagaras.

Fagaras, Nightlife – Cafés

Several cafés, most of them located downtown, welcome clients in their warm atmosphere with a diverse menu and ready to offer you a good time. Fashion Café is one such place in Fagaras, offering clients a menu based on different types of coffee, over 20 kinds of Romanian, Italian and French wine, beer, cocktails, tea, croissants and cakes. The café also houses book releases, concerts, press conferences and different workshops. The minimalist scenery with soft, natural lines is signed by famous interior designers, the furniture being also custom made for this space.

Fifth Avenue Café is a wonderful place to discover in Fagaras, with a great atmosphere created by the scented candles, modern decorations, pure and subtle flavors which generate a mental relaxation and balance. The café offers a wide range of coffees, cocktails, tea and desserts and also numerous facilities like wireless internet, air conditioning, the possibility to rent the place for a private event and more.

Fagaras, Nightlife – Clubs

For every generation there has always been a place for having a good time in a different way at the Students’ Culture Houses or other such places, nowadays the clubs are definitely the place. One of such clubs in Fagaras is Cover Club, welcoming clients in two lounge rooms and a main room. Even if it does not have a large interior, the lounge has a separate bar and can accommodate about fifty people standing or sitting on the sofas. The main room has two entrances and it impresses with its design, immense chandeliers, side booths, the bar, the dancers and DJ-s. The prices at the bar and the access to parties are not the lowest but the vibrant atmosphere makes up for that.

Arras Club is another popular club in town, part of a larger complex comprising also a restaurant and a terrace. With a capacity of 350 people and equipped with cutting edge technology in matters of sound, this place creates perfect conditions for great parties and other events.

You will not be dissapointed by the clubs from other cities like Oradea or Iasi.

The day before we had driven to Fagaras city and there we found a pretty fine motel at last... There are many motels and hotels in the area but they are expensive or cheap but with bad equipment. We tried to find a cheap but nice motel because we had a hard day and we knew that we have to stay...
