Getting into Valenzuela City is easy. Upon arrival at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport, the most convenient way of going to the city is by riding a taxi. Another means of transportation that can take you from the airport to the city is the bus. When getting around the city, tourists have a lot of options. When traveling at short distance, the tricycle can be a good choice. Another alternative is to take the jeep. This is the most common and most inexpensive transportation not only in the city but in the country. Tourists who consider convenience a priority to expenses, can take the taxi.

Valenzuela Travel Guide - Festivals

The City of Valenzuela has several festivals. It would be great for tourists if they happen to be in town during these celebrations. During the summer, the city celebrates two big festivities. One is the Sta. Cruz Festival which happens every April 26. This festival is also known to the Filipinos as Santacruzan. It is patterned to the Santa Cruz de Mayo of the Mexicans.

The other major event celebrated during summer is the Mano Po San Roque Festival observed every May 12. The city recognizes San Roque as the Patron Saint of the unmarried. The event is highlighted by colorful procession and street dancing. A lot of single women who want to find their true love attend this event.

Another festival is the Feast of San Diego De Alcala which takes place every November 12. The event honors the oldest Church in the city and the activities include street dancing and boat racing. In addition to that, the occasion also features the native delicacy of Valenzuela which is the Putong Polo.
