Caloocan City Nightlife, Philippines
Entertainment and pleasure in Caloocan can either be mall chill-out or beach camping. Whatever it is that your heart beats for, it is something that relieves your stress so that you can take a tight sleep afterwards.
Although there aren’t many shopping avenues in Caloocan, there is Ever Gotesco Grand Central that draws a bunch of people day and night. At 6pm, it is filled with hurrying diners at its fast food outlets and the take-it-easy ones at classy bistros. The cinemas are also flocked with movie addicts munching in some popcorn and sipping iced tea. Bookstores are crowded with bookworms while coffee shops flaunt a lively picture of chitchatting executives, yuppies and families.
The grocery stores are usually busy especially after sunrise when people are off from work. Weekends are the busier days. The mall is still as alive at night as it is during daytime for most people are in a culture of night shopping. Hundreds of tenants shape up a pretty much jam-packed shopping avenue. These shops sell a variety of goods such as home appliances, decorative stuff, antiques, jewelry, toys, sports items, shoes, furniture, clothes, music albums, gadgets, cellular phones and a lot more.
Other than Ever Gotesco, there are also some local stores close by that sell Philippine-made handiwork items like wooden crafts, native accessories, shell accessories, etc. Locals and tourists flock here even as late as nine o’clock at night.
The only hotels you can find bustling in Caloocan on twilight hours are Hotel Sogo Monumento, Anito Hotel and Wise Caloocan. Guests usually tag along friends to hang out at the in-house café and bistro. Music is on the background at times. Filipinos are fun-loving and musically inclined. Don’t be surprised when someone sings for you as it is an innate character that the locals possess. Singing along, whether with accompaniment or not, is a common sight to catch even in several households.
Resorts are also destinations for evening entertainment. Luzviminda Resort and Villa Celedonia Valley Resort can be your spots for camping by the bay. Alternatively, you can just go unwind at the lobby with a glass of wine, fruit juice or coffee. In-house restaurants are made alive by local and foreign diners who usually stay on after eating dinner. Even as late as midnight, they are there sipping a cup of green tea or champagne to complete their night. You don’t need to be jumping overly in disco houses just to gain an active nightlife. You can just swing by the resort or hop to the mall and bond with your friends. Caloocan shares that with you unconditionally.
