Butuan City Sightseeing

The landmark of Butuan City, Mt. Mayapay is also a must-see. It’s a 700-meter tall mountain that gives you a wider view of the lowland assets, the Agusan Valley, Agusan River and beach resorts like Tubay Mountain Beach Resort, Inland Resort Hotel and Almont. Butuan City History

When the Japanese occupied the country in 1943, Butuan was destroyed. There was unstoppable conflict between the Filipino guerrillas and the Japanese forces until 1945. The municipality was also destroyed by fire on October 20, 1948. read more
