From Biñan, several attractions are just a few kilometers drive away.
Relaxing Hot Springs
Most springs resorts are located in the areas of Pansol and Los Baños. The warm waters are both invigorating and calming. Guests can try the Hidden Valley Springs. This private resort lies at the heart of an inactive volcano, with thermal waters of its natural spring pools that are sure to guarantee relaxing moments. Another famous tourism spot is the Mt. Banahaw. Mountain climbing buffs can have a unique experience as they venture on its mountain slopes. There is an area called “Banal na Lugar” or Holy Place that is also said to be mystical to faith healers and amulet makers.
Remarkable Places of Interest
For a different kind of day-tripping adventure, guests can visit the Center for the Philippine Raptors which serves as a rescue, rehabilitation and breeding facility for daytime or nocturnal raptorial bird species.
The Museum of Natural History in the University of the Philippines, Los Baños houses different biological specimens used for research and education. The exhibit includes preserved Philippine flora and fauna and the late Dr. Dioscoro Rabor’s unique bird and mammal collections. The Entomology Museum in the same campus features different species of insects that can also amuse any visitor.
The Underground Cemetery may be an odd attraction but it also has a historical significance. The atmosphere is serene with intricate designed walls and tiled walkways, along with the small chapel and tombstones embedded on the cemetery’s brick walls.
The Sampaguita Plantation, in the town of San Pedro, is also a great place to visit. Guests can rouse their interest of the sampaguita flower with its fragrant and sweet smell. The Valesol Haven is a floral farm with a wide selection of cattleyas, vandas, dendroblums and anthuriums that are sure to delight nature trippers.
