Banaue Nightlife, Philippines
A wonderful tour to the 8th Wonder of the World as Banaue Rice Terraces is twice as fun as chilling out with friends in a bustling city. However, before the night can sign off, there’s something the genuine town of Banaue can offer to get you in high spirits.
On your way tripping to Batad or Sagada, it’s best that you don’t just stop over Banaue for a short glimpse of the terraces; instead, stay for a night or two to make sure you get the chance to unwind. You can try a unique sleep-over in native Ifugao house of Native Village. A lodge-type eater accommodates in it 50 people and serves mostly Western-Filipino dishes. It will be an overlooking view of the Hapao Rice Terraces once you reach the mountaintop of the facility.
Other tourists prefer to be in People’s Restaurant & Hotel where Internet access is available and yummy cuisine is served as well. Foreign tourists usually stay at Banaue Hotel where nightly Ifugao dance and music performances will sweep you off your feet. A swim in the pool will complete your relaxation especially when you’re too tired for a daytime tour. Moreover, there are other options of reasonably priced hostels and guesthouses such as Youth Hostel, Fairview Inn, J & L Lodge, Spring Village, Terraceville Inn, Cozy Nook Inn, Greenview Lodge and Halfway Lodge.
The view down the terraces from the Veranda of People’s Restaurant will leave you in awe because of the blinking lights from households appearing like Christmas lights or stars in the sky. This is a spirit-booster scenario that’s worth sharing to your relatives and friends. Up for an endless night of sing-along, you can just lounge at the terrace of your chosen hotel and sing upbeat songs together with your friends even without accompaniment. You need to make the most out of a cappella night until you are drowsy. The view is too overwhelming and it will make you sing, “I’m on the top of the world looking down on creation…” Lounge singers are also performing in selected hospitality accommodations; you can check them out.
If your energy has been too consumed in the trekking adventure, you can always have a down moment on your own. Taking a view while breathing the breeze of nature gives you satisfaction about the entire journey.
Being in Banaue is practically being on top of the world taking sight of man’s greatest output of engineering and landscaping skills. It’s a long journey up the terraces, but it will be worth-it.
