An insight to Lahore nightlife

Pakistan is basically a Muslim country; so it is assumed that there is not much of a nightlife in Lahore. However, it will be surprising to many people to learn that unlike the other cities of Pakistan, Lahore is a city that has a great nightlife.

When in Lahore and if you are looking for something to do at night, you can always visit the many movie houses, public theatre, music concerts and adult entertainment spots available here. You will have to do some asking around to reach the right places for your nightlife entertainment.

Visit the pop music concerts of Lahore

You could make a visit to the Al-Hamra Cultural Center which is found on the beautifully tree lined Mall Road. There is always something here for you to do and watch while in Lahore. You can find some of the most prominent intellectuals and artists of Lahore stationed here.

In addition to enjoying yourself, a visit here will give you an idea of the cultural activities of Lahore. You could also consider making a visit to the many Pakistani pop music concerts that play around Lahore. You will find the crowd to be rather well behaved, who just dance and sway to the rhythm of the music.

Underground rave parties are aplenty here

There are also some secret nightclubs and underground rave parties that take place around the city and are visited by the young at heart. Though you may enjoy the nightlife here, because it is illegal there is always the possibility of your getting caught here.

The underground music scene is quite westernized in Lahore with great live bands beer and drinks. DJs and bands get great business here while the party goers are usually the upper middle class to wealthy Pakistanis hailing from rich families.

Get friendly with locals for better nightlife

This is why it is better to become friendly with locals who will invite you to their homes for dinner and practically force feed you until you vomit. If you are lucky, you will also be invited to a Pakistani wedding and its associated parties.

You can find intimate dinners, poetry reading and gatherings with a never ending flow of smuggled alcohol. However as these parties are hosted only by the city’s elite, your invitation depends on who you know.

It can be said that nightlife in Lahore is great. And if you want to be able to enjoy Lahore’s nightlife you have to have the right contacts and information sources.
