Oslo nightlife is varied and vibrant. The people in Oslo love to go out for a drink particularly a beer. During night you can meet all kind of people. There are many nightclubs, discos and bars around the city of Oslo. You can also find many theatres and the most popular theatre is in Majorstua area known as Coloseum. The Coloseum is THX with a big screen and great sound effects. There is an opera and a classical music place which is situated on Storgata near Central Station.

 

You can choose from the countless bars, cafes and nightclubs and atmosphere is friendly. DJ’s from all over the world are keeping the bars and nightclubs of Oslo lively. There are several places which offer live concerts particularly on weekends. Tickets for performances can be purchased at any of the post office. Most of the bars and nightclubs are open until 3am and most of them will serve food during day time. These nightclubs will transform their atmosphere at night around 9-10 pm. So it is very important to keep in mind that those bars allow entry to all people at day time, allows only adults during night.

 

In Norway all the restaurants, bars and nightclubs are smoke free indoors and many of them have outdoor table also during summer. In winter there will be outdoor heaters and some protection for smokers from the cold weather in many places. People are usually seen on Karl Johans Gate and many other clubs, bars and restaurants in the central area. Aker Brygge has many bars and pubs which attract tourists, first date couples and other people interested to spend their time on a waterfront location. In Oslo drinking is expensive and most of the Norwegian people save their money by drinking at their friend’s houses.
