Napier is a city that is full of places to go during the evenings.  One of these is the Century Cinema, which is probably the most popular, and it is located in the same building with the Hawkes Bay Museum.  The theater shows many more independent and artistic films, so there is a good alternative offered here if you are not interested in the standard Hollywood movies.  These movies are shown on a huge screen in a very big theater, and it is suppose to have the best sound system throughout the Hawkes Bay region.  Century Cinema plays movies from many different countries, where some are in subtitles.  They do have special events here as well, such as the Italian Film Festival, which showed many Italian award-winning films during the course of a week.

Century Cinema is not the only theater in Napier.  There is also the Cinema 4, which plays all of the mainstream Hollywood movies, usually 10 at a time.

The Caution Dining Lounge is part of the leisure experience of Wine Country.  This is a lounge bar that is set in the Sydney or New York scene and is unique and stylish.  It has intimate dining booths and a classy cocktail bar.  Caution Dining Lounge has the finest selection of vintage wines from Hawkes Bay, which features more than 100 wines.  A unique list has Bordeaux blends from the Esk Valley reserve, which has been gathered with the help of Gordon Russell, the wine maker, and it includes blends that date back to 1989.  The selection of wine is complement with cocktails, as well as a variety of premium liqueurs and spirits.  This is definitely the place to go for a casual flaming hot pizza cooked by wood-fire, while you view the inner harbor.

The Shed 2 Café & Bar recently renovated their restaurant and bar.  This place is an icon in the region for entertainment and hospitality.  They have fresh food and a fine list of wines, making it a popular place with an informal setting.  You can get one of their famous wood-fired pizzas to share with your friends on a night out.  The Shed is a great site for a huge open fire on nights during the winter, but during the summer, you can enjoy the massive deck overlooking the harbor and Ruahine Mountain ranges, and you can enjoy a stunning sunset.
