 The Kelly Tarlton’s Antarctic Encounter & Underwater World is built as a large subterranean world, where you could enjoy the exciting parade of penguins in a wonderful land of ice and snow.  The true experience of deep see is recreated with sharks, stingrays, giant eels, and hundreds of glittering fish species swimming in an ocean-like atmosphere.

Stardome Observatory takes you on a tour of the vast universe with exciting simulations. The 360 degree theatre provides you with a glimpse of 3,500 stars shining high above your head. The observatory offers guided telescopic viewing also to enthuse both kids and adults. The observatory is open on all the days and most of the nights. 

Holidaying in enchanting islands 

The Hauraki Gulf and the islands situated in it are a great attraction for tourists the world over. The major islands here are Browns Island, Great Barrier Island, Kawau Island, Little Barrier Island, Motuihe, Motutapu, Pakatoa Island, Rangitoto, Tiritiri Matangi, Waiheke Island, Motu Kaikoura, and Other Islands.

Browns Island, also known as Motukorea or the island of the pied oystercatcher bird, is a scenic spot with volcanic cones and several historic sites. The southern side of the island is home to the endangered New Zealand dotterel birds and it is their nesting habitat. 

Motuihe is famous for its enchanting swimming beaches on both sides of the narrow isthmus. This island is endowed with sheltered conditions even in strong winds. Motutapu Island is 2 km from Motuihe, full of rolling grass filled hills. A causeway connects this island to Rangitoto Island, which offers a magnificent view of the Hauraki Gulf, Auckland city and the Waitemata Harbor from the peak of its volcano.

Waiheke Island is regarded as the best tourist experience while in Auckland. The scenic beaches and native forest reserves blend with the olive groves and vineyards. It is an ideal place to relax and unwind the body and mind. As a tourist destination, Auckland is one of the best places you could visit.
