Reynosa Sights and Landmarks Guide, Mexico

   It is estimated that more than three thousand tourist visit Reynosa every day.  Reynosa, Mexico is located directly across from Texas in the United States.  It is a very exciting city in which tourism is a very important part.

If you don’t want to take your car across the border into Mexico, there are places you can park in the United States and walk across the bridge.  You will need a passport or visa to return to the United States.

Once you are in Reynosa, you will find just about everything you can imagine.  Shopping is the biggest tourist attraction in Reynosa.  The street markets and vendors are always up for bargaining, but you need to make sure you are friendly towards the people.  Great bargaining skills are really appreciated in this border town.  You can find just about anything for sale, including candy, jewelry, ponchos, and leather goods.

 As far as restaurants, there are so many to choose from.  Aside from the street food vendors, consider La Mansion.  This local fare restaurant boasts some of the best salsa in town.  For a great, laid back lounge, try Sam’s Place.  This restaurant and bar has a great selection of Mexican beer and really good Mexican food.  It even has a guitar player.

  When you’re considering attractions, there are many temples, churches, and museums.  One of the most popular is Reynosa Cathedral.  A great museum to take in is the Reynosa Historical Museum.  This beautiful building dates back to the early 19th century.  There are many historic landmarks as well.  You will find friendly people all over the city. 

 This city moves at a slower pace than most large metropolitan places, so you can relax and enjoy the sights and sounds of the city. Reynosa is a great place to go for the day, but a better place to visit for a week.  Consider Reynosa for you next vacation getaway.
