Morelia History

The city was officially named as Morelia in the year 1828 in the memory of José María Morelos. She was amongst the few who took active participation in the revolt of Mexico. The city is also the birth place for Agustín de Iturbide who was also a major person behind the huge revolt which gave independence to the country of Mexico. read more
