The city of Hermosillo (which was known as Santísima Trinidad del Pitic which means Holy Trinity of Pitic in English) happens to be the largest city in the state of Sonora, Mexico. The city of Hermosillo is also the capital city for the state of Sonora. The city of Hermosillo is situated right in the center of Sonora and is around 170 miles away from the Mexican American border. The city of Hermosillo is situated many hundred miles away from many other major cities of Mexico like Mexicali and Tijuana. Even various American cities like Tucson and Phoenix are also many miles away from the city of Hermosillo.

The city of Hermosillo is served by two major highways which links the city to many other major cities of Mexico as well as United States. These highways are Sonora State Highway 100 and Mexican Federal Highway 15.

The city is too hot. most of the places have good air conditioning but walking 10 minutes outside in summer is a torture.
