Culiacan, Mexico- Tourist Attractions

 Culiacan city in northwestern Mexico is the largest city in the State of Sinaloa and also its capital. It has a number of tourist attractions that make this city a very popular tourist destination.

Just about 30 minutes drive from the city, are the Imala’s hot springs. There are several dams and reservoirs here where one can enjoy fishing all round the year.

Another famous place is Altala beach that is again just half an hour’s drive from the city. On its sister beach, called the Nuevo Altata, you can find plenty of Restaurants and Private areas. You can also see a beautiful 19th century church, The Cathedral and the Plazuela Alvaro Obregón that was the place for social gatherings during that time.

You can enjoy the view of the entire city form the tallest church of Culiacan, La Lomita or Templo de Nuestra Señora de Guadalupe.

 If you are interested in theatre, you can go to Difocur or the Centro Cultural Genaro Estrada. Besides a theatre, it also has a movie theatre, a café and several museums on the local culture.

The Regional History Museum in the 'Parque Constitución' is another museum worth visiting. It is there in downtown along with some small art galleries owned by several of the local universities.

You can also find the downtown’s best-preserved old street called 'Calle Rosales', which is between Rosales square and the Cathedral. You can admire the Botanical garden or enjoy watching the fifth largest meteorite on earth in the science museum Centro de Ciencias de Sinaloa.

Sports lovers can go to the baseball stadium the 'Estadio Angel Flores' and the football stadium called 'Estadio Banorte' and some other university stadiums too.

Beside these tourist attractions, the tourists can also enjoy going to the various malls, parks and the large number of Restaurants and have a great time in Culiacan.
